Wine and game in the mountains – Food & wine day at Alpe Foppa

Autumn at Monte Tamaro tastes of game and Ticino wine. On Saturday, 7 November, join us at Alpe Foppa, 1530 metres up, for a day dedicated to seasonal flavours, with small Ticino winemakers presenting their wines in person.

Take the cable car up from Rivera and start with the wine tasting: taste, chat with the producers and discover the story behind every bottle. At lunchtime, chef Roberto D'Angelo and his team serve a game menu created especially for the day. And you choose the wine for your table, buying it directly from the producers at the event.

Programme

• From 11:00 – Wine tasting with small Ticino winemakers (tasting glass, taralli and olives)
• From 12:30 – Lunch with game menu at the Alpe Foppa Restaurant

• Venison carpaccio with stracciatella and rocket pesto
• Roe deer entrecôte with herbs and vegetable flan
• Persimmon mousse with rum sauce

Prices

• Wine tasting only: CHF 15 (cable car not included)
• Lunch only: CHF 80, cable car return trip included
• Wine tasting + lunch: CHF 90, cable car return trip included

Wines with lunch are not included and are bought directly from the producers.
