Monte Tamaro is a mountain designed to welcome everyone.

Thanks to the new cable car inaugurated in 2025, access to Alpe Foppa is completely barrier-free. The spacious 8-seater cabins allow you to ride up comfortably with your own wheelchair (maximum width 82 cm). To explore the unpaved trails, we offer the JST Multidrive for rent—an innovative electric wheelchair provided in partnership with the Cerebral Foundation. It can be steered independently or by a companion, and supports a maximum weight of 100 kg. To book it, email us at info@montetamaro.ch.

 

Rental costs All-terrain electric wheelchair

Half day        CHF 10.00
Full day         CHF 15.00

Payment for the hire is made on the day of rental at the cash desk of the departure station of the cable car. The wheelchair will be handed over to you at the arrival station at Alpe Foppa.

Important Information
Thanks to the new cable car, opened in 2025 and barrier-free, it is possible to travel with the own wheelchair (including electric wheelchairs). The only size to consider is the maximum width of 82 cm.
